Have you ever left like ripping yourself apart because you were not able to adequetly, perfectly define yourself in that moment.
Imagine writing as all you ever can do to express yourself. You reach a point when you need to so badly but how you do i t consistantly is never correct. It's just not good enough, even when you can accurately pinpint exactly what complex-emotion you're experiancing, yet writing it down literally just sounds ridiculous.
You wouldn't show someone something like:
"I'm so sad
because i'm all
alone.
blah blah blah"
-That's a horrible poem, despite the fact
it might be painstakingly true.
so when writer's block hits
it feels like death;
all just fogging, clogging up
hindering progression, functioning.
I believe i konw why most poets go mad
-They all feel this
and no oneelse understands it:
(We'll never tell them, literally)

writer's block and artist's block are the worst things in the world. i can relate to your loathing of them--i'm not exactly the most emotionally stable person in the world, and drawing is how i channel my emotions. so when i get an artist's block, i can't do the whole 'artistic expression' thing and i become depressed as a result. you're such a good poet though that you shouldn't let it get to you--you'll get over it and come back even better, i'm sure^^
